Empowering People with Cancer through Workplace Support

Since 2001, Cancer and Careers has been the leading U.S.-based nonprofit focused on the intersection of work and cancer, empowering patients, survivors, and caregivers with vital resources to navigate the challenges of maintaining employment during and after treatment. With expert advice, interactive tools, and educational events, we ensure that every individual can thrive personally and professionally.

Our latest campaign, “Strings,” underscores the importance of workplace support, highlighting that seven in ten adults believe that such support significantly aids their recovery. Evidence shows that nine out of ten employees undergoing cancer treatment feel supported by their employer, a vital factor that positively impacts their health, job satisfaction, and recovery*.

Cancer and Careers aims to eliminate the fear and uncertainty faced by working individuals with cancer and their employers, forging understanding and resilience in every work environment. Share in our mission, and help us spotlight the transformative power of workplace support in the cancer journey.
