Working With Cancer 2026

Since launching at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2023, Working with Cancer has grown into a global movement of more than 5,000 companies, supporting over 40 million employees worldwide. What began as a pledge by employers is now backed by research showing that workplace support can meaningfully influence employee health and quality of life.

A recent review led by Dr. Victoria Blinder of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Dr. Gina Mazza of Mayo Clinic found evidence linking sustained employment or return to work after a cancer diagnosis with improved health-related quality of life. The study also highlights the critical role workplace conditions play, reinforcing the importance of flexibility, understanding, and appropriate accommodations during treatment and recovery.

Our latest campaign brings this research to life through the voices of real cancer survivors across industries. By encouraging more employers to take the Working with Cancer Pledge, we aim to ensure that work becomes a part of the healing process.
