Travis Manion Foundation 2023
Travis Manion Foundation (TMF) unites communities to strengthen America's national character. As one of the leading veteran service organizations in the country, TMF empowers veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop and lead future generations. By connecting our military community with young adults, we provide service members with a renewed sense of purpose and the opportunity to make a community impact and thrive in their civilian lives. In doing so, we re-establish a national identity built on character, leadership, and service.
With regional offices across the country, TMF has created a national movement that unites communities and connects veterans, families of the fallen, and inspired civilians to give back in honor of fallen heroes; feature projects hosted by TMF include the 9/11 Heroes Run 5K Race Series, and Operation Legacy service projects and the Spartan Leadership Program. The 9/11 Heroes Run is organized in over 90 communities around the world including virtual opportunities, to honor the heroes of 9/11 and the wars since. Operation Legacy unites communities through a common cause, with volunteers living the "If Not Me, Then Who..." mantra by leading a movement of character, leadership, and selfless service.
On April 29th, 2007, 1st LT Travis Manion (USMC) was killed in Iraq while saving his wounded teammates. Today, Travis' legacy lives on in the words he spoke before leaving for his final deployment, "If Not Me, Then Who..." Guided by this mantra, veterans continue their service, develop strong relationships with their communities, and thrive in their post-military lives. As a result, communities prosper and the character of our nation’s heroes lives on in the next generation. |
