Introducing NMDP, formerly known as the National Marrow Donor Program and Be The Match. Our name has changed but our mission has not: We save lives through cell therapy.
For patients diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma and other life-threatening diseases, a bone marrow or cord blood transplant may be their best or only hope for a cure. Yet 70% of patients who need a transplant do not have a fully matched donor in their family. They depend on NMDPSM and our supporters to find a match to save their life.
We also provide one-on-one support to patients and their families throughout the transplant journey. We connect patients battling life-threatening blood cancer and blood diseases with ordinary people who can save their lives.
The NMDP RegistrySM is the most diverse registry in the world, connecting adult donors willing to donate to a stranger in need with searching patients. We work every day to save lives through transplant, but we cannot do it alone. Finding a life-saving match depends on shared genetic traits and ethnic background.
By airing any of these PSAs, you’re helping find a cure for thousands of patients fighting for their lives.
