Be Your Greatest Self

Milton Hershey School is a one-of-a-kind place where students from low-income families receive an outstanding education, incredible experiences, health care, housing, meals, and more—with all costs covered.

At MHS students from pre-K to grade 12 explore their individual interests, develop leadership qualities, and build a foundation of fundamental life skills to help them thrive.

State-of-the-art facilities and highly trained teachers ensure each child benefits from a rewarding academic program, college and career pathways, and vocational training. Each child can accrue up to $95,000 in continuing education scholarships. Students also can participate in a wide variety of extracurricular activities, such as sports, visual and performing arts, trips, and special programs.

More than 11,000 graduates have had their lives transformed since Milton Hershey, founder of the Hershey Chocolate Company, and his wife, Catherine, started the school in 1909. The school remains dedicated to partnering with families to help children become their greatest selves. Today, students from around the country live and learn with caring houseparents on the school’s beautiful campus in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
