Kitten Foster

It’s kitten season! Which means that, right now, thousands of tiny kittens are entering shelters across the country, and each and every one of them needs our help to survive. You can help by opening your heart and home.  

Best Friends Animal Society’s kitten PSA encourages people everywhere to save the lives of kittens by fostering. Whether it’s for just a week or for longer, when you foster some adorable fuzz balls, you not only give them the chance to grow, thrive and find families, you get to spend your days with some of the cutest houseguests ever.  

Kittens are among the most at-risk pets in shelters, but together we can change that. Get involved and save the lives of kittens by sharing our PSA today.

Pet stores and puppy mills connection

Best Friends believes that a dog’s well-being should be measured in years of love ― not inches in a cage. Unfortunately, the latter is the case for dogs born in puppy mills, which supply nearly all pet stores that sell puppies.

With the help of Best Friends’ puppy mill initiatives, more and more communities throughout the country are banning the retail sale of mill-bred pets. And demand for these pets continues to go down as more and more people choose to adopt their pets rather than purchase them. Help spread the word about the importance of pet adoption with our puppy mill public service announcement and together, we’ll make puppy mills a thing of the past.
